Why do I live? What are my purpose and goal? After several days of interrogating myself, I came across Maslow’s theory, and it answered my thoughts and questions.

For instance, the late Kenyan president, he was described by many as a man who was cautious with his diet. The self-actualization, which is the highest in the hierarchy of needs Maslow explains that once you have achieved that goal, a person is said to have fully exploited the individual potential. Since self-actualization is a life journey and one meant to have fully used absolute potential, maybe after completing specific life tasks. During the send-off service of the Kenyan president, some philosophers described him as a person who can be said to have fully self-actualized his potential. After a bright look at Maslow’s theory and watched the proceedings of the late president, what I realized is that the approach is a useful object to turn to whenever trying to assess the direction of our lives. In most cases, we unbalance the pyramid of needs in our lives.

Some of us have got implausibly a vast base where we focus our potential and energy on material things and leave our life pyramid unbalanced. The hierarchy should be our all-time goal to maintain it and use it to reflect with a newfound focus
