For instance, when a baby is born, it must cry; it is born nacked. The statue in the museum compares to the child of the speaker in the hospital. The choice of words affects the meaning of the poem because they prompt the reader to think critically about their meaning in the context that they are used.
The attitude of the speaker towards her subject is positive and loving because, in the first line of the poem, ” love set you going, like a fat gold watch” shows that the poem is about love.
